Did an Internet wedding photo shoot awhile back. Officially my first Internet wedding. It was very exciting and intense at the same time. The Bride was in Canada and the Groom in the States. I had to shoot both. Why over the internet? The groom was not able to cross the border, paper work backed up, they were not letting him through.
Here is a few from the shoot:

Canceled our trip to Mexico, due to the virus pandemic. We were able to book a trip to Cuba. Glad to be going to Cuba before it becomes Americanized, with a Starbucks and Mc Donald’s every second block.
Here’s a few from my last trip to Cuba:

The Fitzpatrick Incident a Hard Core Metal band from T.O. These guys were pumped and almost impossible to photograph…getting them gathered to do group shots was even worse!! One of the fastest shoots I’ve done to date. Got some good footage….will post when I catch up on other projects..

Farewell to Freeway was also playing that nite. They seemed kind of bitchy, especially the girl in the band, maybe they were having a bad day….anyways I didn’t really get into them, their much better on disc.

Kingdoms is a real band with real life experience in their music. They also kick Ass! Live. I met up with vocal man Hutton, he had just arrived into Windsor behind the rest of the Guys. He has been balancing his life between music and earning a living at a Law firm in Mississauga, making the drive back and forth from gig to job, a true warrior. Surprising he is full of energy and ready to go!!. We chat for awhile and meet the rest of the guys.
I have alot to go through and will post as they come up.

Driving into Pontiac, MI. was like driving into a Ghost Town, it was creepy at first. In the downtown core there was not a car on the road or a person on the street. Totally empty like 3 quarters of the buildings on the 3 block stretch. Caught up with the Parlor guys at a bar/resturant called Liberty.
Took a few shots there, then made are way over to the Crofoot. The Satin Peaches were ready to go and the a good size crowd was gathering. TSP is a great band from Detroit, I wish I would have grabed a cd when I was there, right now just listening to thier My Space page.

The Satin Peaches after thier show at The Pike Room in Pontiac, MI.
Had a blast taking some group shots of the band, good sense of humor they have.
The Parlor Mob blew everyone away. Thier in the zone right from the first note and as a fellow Windsorite I bumped into said(http://www.myspace.com/sketchbailey), “their energy draws you in”.. so true with more and more intensity as the set moves on….felt like I was at a Palace show (arena show).
I got alot of photos, so I’m in the process of going threw them. You can view more Photos here:

I have to thank Bianca Garza for giving me some battery’s for my flash, or else I wouldn’t have been able to capture The Parlor show. By that point I had already drained the Bars remote controls and pocket flash lights, I was getting desperate.

I’m really pumped!!! Just heard from the Parlor guys…I’ll be doing group and Live performance shots at their concert this Monday. I’ve listened to this album everyday since I got it 3 weeks ago. Fucking amazing. I actually think I’ll be nervous at this shoot, first time, what’s up with that. If you haven’t heard them, get the album, before their huge. Check em out here:

If that ain’t enough, Kingdoms is coming to Windsor and I’ll be doing group and live shots for the guys. This is another album I’ve been listening to non-stop. Can’t wait to catch this show and meet the guys.

We should find the truth in this world, through our difficulties, through our suffering. Quote by: “Shunryu Suzuki Roshi”
I always seem to get caught in thinking I need to over come or fix my Problems, when in truth things don’t really get solved. They just come together and fall apart, over and over.
One of my latest teachings is…. “No reply is a reply”…..

Meditation Hall
I spent a weekend a while back at The Detroit Zen Center, taking photographs of the resident monks and community members. I was also given the great privilege of drinking tea and having a personnel conversation with the centers Zen Master, 71 year old Sunim.

Went to gym today. Been going 5 times a week for the last 4 weeks, feels great. Carrie and I went t0o travel agent to find a good deal on a trip to the Mayan Ruins in May. Already planning a theme for the photos, thinking I’ll go colour with some kind of cross processing. Took some photos of my daughters basketball game. They haven’t won a game yet…she’s great though.
Shot some Band pics of 40 Sons and Daughters, good band from Hamilton, ON. Singer has a good set of pipes. Remind me of Our Lady Peace. I guess they are cover band back in Hamilton. I always hated playing covers, they always sucked compared to playing your own shit. Even if you didn’t get paid. To each his own.

I love this album the more I listen to it, going to the show on April 13th in Detroit to take some Live shots. Definitely a band going far, if they can stay focused and play from the some energy source they have taped into.
